Wonderful Wildflowers: A Colouring Book & Floral Quest is one of my favourites from the artist Johanna Basford. This colouring book is about 80 pages of intricate black-and-white line art. You’ll encounter a rich tapestry of wildflowers and blossoms like bluebells and cornflower meadows, all intertwined with tiny bees, birds, and berries. There’s also a Plant Hunter’s list challenge woven through the designs, encouraging you to spot and colour twelve special wildflowers throughout the book.

Johanna Basford is a Scottish illustrator known for her hand-drawn, pen-and-ink style that helped spark the adult colouring-book craze. She trained in textile design and prefers traditional media to digital creation, filling her books with detailed floral, woodland, and fantasy scenes that encourage mindful, screen-free creativity. Johanna has created many adult colouring books on various themes, but she does tend to return to flowers and nature-inspired topics.
