There’s often a weird kind of clarity that comes from stepping completely outside of your normal life.
Away from the rooms, the routines, and the version of yourself that formed around someone else. Sometimes what you need isn’t to process more. It’s to feel something different, somewhere different. It’s to get away from what your brain and body see as normal and experience things that can help you work out what you want, or don’t want, in your life.
I created The Resilient Blueprint for those healing from an abusive relationship. I built it because I couldn’t find the resources I needed when I was looking to heal after I was safe. Everything I share here is chosen for when you’re safe but still figuring out who you are without the weight of someone else’s control.
What it is
Tripaneer is a browser-based booking platform for multi-day immersive travel experiences.
Not your standard tourism, but trips built around a specific activity, transformation, or theme.
Their range spans yoga retreats, meditation and mindfulness programmes, Ayurveda and detox retreats, surf camps, hiking trips, horse riding holidays, cooking courses, adventure travel, and more. With over 17,500 listings across 130+ countries.
It functions as a search engine for intentional travel: you filter by destination, experience type, price, duration, and group format. Pricing varies widely by retreat type, location, and length (from budget-accessible options to more premium experiences), and is listed transparently on each individual listing. There are no booking fees charged by the platform. Tripaneer operates globally and is accessed through any browser.
Why it’s here
One of the things that can happen after an abusive relationship is that your entire sense of what’s possible has been shaped, often compressed, by your abuser. What you could do, where you could go, who you were allowed to be. Getting physically away from the context of that life can give your body and mind entirely new information. Not therapy. Not processing. Just: this is what the world feels like when no one is controlling your experience of it.
What I like about Tripaneer for this stage is the range. This is not just all soft wellness. You can filter for yoga and breathwork if stillness is what you need right now, or you can filter for surfing, hiking, or adventure travel if you need to push your edges.. The platform has specific filter options for women-only and solo and singles experiences, which matters when you’re travelling alone and want that safety factored in.
This isn’t a therapeutic experience. But sometimes a week in a new country, doing something that is entirely yours, tells you more about who you’re becoming than months of reflection alone.
How it works
- Browse and filter by location, experience type, budget, duration, group format (including women-only and solo & singles), and more.
- Each listing includes a detailed itinerary, what’s included, instructor or host information, verified traveller reviews, and transparent pricing.
- Booking involves either a direct booking or an inquiry, depending on the retreat. Some organisers require a deposit, and cancellation policies vary by listing, so read these carefully before committing.
- No booking fee is charged by Tripaneer; the cost is the retreat price set by the organiser.
- Customer support is available via email for queries and booking issues.
- Quality varies by organiser. Reviews are real and worth reading thoroughly before booking.
Who this is for and who it might not be for
This might resonate if you:
- Are at a stage where you’re physically safe and financially stable enough to think about stepping away, even briefly, and want to do it with intention rather than just booking a holiday.
- Are drawn to adventure or challenge as much as (or more than) stillness. There is real range here beyond yoga and meditation.
- Want the reassurance of a women-only or solo-focused environment while you travel, without having to research that from scratch.
It might not be the right fit if:
- Budget is a significant constraint right now. While accessible options exist, many multi-day retreats represent a meaningful financial commitment.
- You’re looking for clinical or therapeutic support built into the experience. Tripaneer connects you with travel and wellness providers, not therapists or trauma-informed practitioners specifically.
I just want you to be aware that this is an affiliate link. If you sign up or make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only share things I genuinely believe are worth your time.
