The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts
Author : Gary Chapman
Publication Year : 1992
The Five Love Languages is a relationship book that explores how people express and receive love differently – it’s how each of us have different ways of feeling loved and making our cup full. Gary Chapman identifies five distinct “love languages” and explains how understanding and applying them can transform relationships of all kinds. By recognising your own love language and that of your partner, family members or friends, you can strengthen emotional connections and enhance mutual understanding.
The book is structured into chapters that introduce each love language, followed by practical advice and illustrative stories from Chapman’s counselling practice. It includes a quiz to help readers identify their primary love language.
The Five Love Languages is a simple yet very profound guide to understanding yourself and how to build stronger relationships with those you care about. This is a topic I had thought little about until I found this book and I found it eye opening as it’s not something I had considered, especially for understanding myself.
