Online Therapy

There’s a particular kind of clarity that comes, eventually, when you’re far enough out from the worst of it. When you can see the patterns that were playing out, recognise the thoughts you’ve inherited from the experience, and start to wonder what it would take to actually work through them properly. Not just manage them.

That usually means finding someone qualified to help. But, there’s often an obstacle in the way. Perhaps logistics, cost, location, scheduling, the effort of finding a person who feels safe enough to be honest with.

I started The Resilient Blueprint as a survivor, for survivors. When I share something on this site, it’s because I’ve looked at it carefully and believe it removes a real barrier for people who are ready to do serious work on understanding themselves.

What Is Online-Therapy.com?

Online-Therapy.com is a subscription-based online therapy platform built entirely around Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

It is available globally,  from anywhere in the world,  and is accessed through a browser with no app required, on any device. The platform pairs you with a qualified therapist and gives you access to an eight-section CBT program, interactive worksheets with daily therapist feedback (Monday to Friday), a journal, an activity plan, and yoga and meditation videos.

Three subscription plans are available, all billed monthly: Basic (no live sessions), Standard (one 45-minute live session per week), and Premium (two live sessions per week). All plans include a 20% discount on the first month. There is no free trial, but financial aid is available at checkout for students, veterans, and low-income applicants. The platform does not offer diagnosis or medication. Best to check the website for the most up-to-date fees.

Why It’s Here

Most platforms like this are country-specific. Online-Therapy.com is an exception. It’s available worldwide, which makes it relevant to the majority of TRB’s audience regardless of where they are.

Beyond availability, what stands out is the structure. The eight-section CBT program is a sequenced, therapist-guided course designed to help you identify and challenge the thought patterns that are keeping you stuck. For people coming out of abusive relationships, those patterns can run deep: hypervigilance reading as common sense, self-blame presented as self-awareness, distorted beliefs about what you deserve or what’s normal.

CBT is one of the most rigorously researched approaches for exactly this kind of thinking. Having daily written feedback from a therapist on your worksheets rather than waiting a week between sessions means the work doesn’t stall between appointments.

You can also be anonymous throughout the process. You can use a nickname throughout.

How It Works

Sign up via browser, answer questions about your focus areas and therapist preferences (including gender preference), and you’ll be matched with a therapist automatically. You can see who your therapist is before completing payment, and switch at any time from your dashboard.

Once you’re in, you work through the eight CBT sections at your own pace, completing worksheets and receiving your therapist’s written feedback within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. On Standard or Premium plans, you schedule 45-minute live sessions (video, voice, or text chat ). The program is accessible 24/7, but therapist interaction is available weekdays only.

A few things worth knowing: there’s no free trial, subscriptions are billed monthly (not weekly, despite the weekly price display), and the Basic plan includes no live sessions, just worksheets, messaging, and the self-guided program. Financial aid for low-income users, students, and veterans can be applied for during checkout.

Who This Is For and Who It Might Not Be

This might resonate if you:

  • Are ready to do structured, evidence-based work on your thought patterns and want daily therapist engagement rather than one weekly session with nothing in between.
  • Want or need anonymity. You can use a nickname throughout, and sessions run entirely within your browser.

It might not be the right fit if:

  • Cost is the primary barrier. It’s a financial commitment, and the Basic plan (no live sessions) may feel insufficient if you need regular human contact to stay accountable; the financial aid option is worth checking at checkout if budget is tight.
  • You’re looking for a platform with trauma-informed or narcissistic abuse-specific framing. Online-Therapy.com treats the symptoms (anxiety, depression, distorted thinking) through a CBT lens rather than the context those symptoms emerged from.
