Daily Creative

There comes a point in healing when you might start to consider what you like in life. What you enjoy and get pleasure from, what you want to create. This side of you didn’t disappear; it’s just been dormant because it had to. You might just need a little reminding that creating is what we all do in some form. A nudge to locate the passions that mean something to you.

I’m Nadine, and I built The Resilient Blueprint after leaving an abusive relationship because I couldn’t find what I needed. Resources that took my experience seriously without treating me like I was broken. Everything here is chosen because it genuinely helped me, or because I can see clearly how it would help someone at a particular point in rebuilding.

What is the Daily Creative

The Daily Creative is a long-running podcast hosted by author Todd Henry. It’s been running since 2005 and has been downloaded more than 20 million times. Each episode, typically 20 to 30 minutes, covers a theme relevant to creativity, focus, and creative work: how to generate ideas under pressure, how to break through stagnation, how to stay curious when everything feels hard. Guests have included Seth Godin, Cal Newport, and Kim Scott.

The podcast is free and available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and wherever you listen.

Why it’s here

Abuse does something specific to creativity. When someone else has been controlling your choices, your voice, your time, and your sense of what you’re capable of, the creative impulse tends to collapse. You stop starting things. You stop finishing them. You stop believing your own ideas are worth following.

The Daily Creative podcast isn’t about trauma. It won’t use that language or address your experience directly. What it does is talk about creativity as a practice, something ordinary people build through habit, not inspiration, in a way that dismantles the belief that you’re not the kind of person who creates. Todd Henry’s whole premise is that creative expression isn’t a gift you either have or don’t. It’s a muscle. That matters a great deal when the muscle has been deliberately weakened.

Who this is for, and who it might not be for

This might resonate if you:

  • Are starting to feel the pull back toward something creative but don’t know where to start
  • Want something absorbing to listen to that isn’t about trauma, grief, or healing, just ideas and making things
  • Find that doing something with your hands while listening helps you process or settle

It might not be the right fit if:

  • You’re looking for content that speaks directly to your experience as a survivor, this doesn’t
  • You’re in an earlier, harder stage and need something closer to where you are.
