Bloom

At some point after leaving, you start wanting to understand what actually happened, not just that it was bad, but why it worked the way it did, why you responded the way you did, and why you still carry it in your body long after the relationship is over. What you need is a way to learn these things based on your experiences.

I’m Nadine, the founder of The Resilient Blueprint. I built this site as a survivor because I couldn’t find what I needed.  Bloom is one of the resources I wish I’d had access to earlier, and I’ve listed it here because it genuinely delivers something rare: content built by survivors, for survivors, with real care for how trauma works.

What it is

Bloom is a free, anonymous, web-based platform created by Chayn. A global non-profit founded in 2013 and run by survivors and allies. It offers self-paced video courses, reflective activities, grounding exercises, and optional 1:1 messaging with Chayn’s team.

Courses cover topics including the cycle of coercive control, the science of trauma, dating and relationships after abuse, healing from sexual trauma, and the broader social context of gender-based violence. All access is anonymous. Bloom is available globally, online, and currently offered in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Hindi, and German. No app download is required; it runs in any web browser.

Why it’s here

One of the most disorienting things about recovering from an abusive relationship is not knowing why you feel the things you feel. Why leaving didn’t fix it. Why certain triggers still catch you off guard. Why shame sits so close to the surface even when you know that none of it was your fault.

Bloom exists to answer those questions. Through courses that were designed by survivors and trauma-informed therapists to explain the mechanics of abuse and trauma in plain, honest language.

What to expect

  • Free access with no subscription, no payment, and no personal data linked to your account
  • Self-paced, you move through courses entirely at your own speed and can stop and return at any time.
  • Optional 1:1 messaging with Chayn’s team of survivors and allies if you want to discuss what you’re working through.
  • Available in six languages: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Hindi, and German
  • Content is focused on gender-based violence, intimate partner abuse, sexual trauma, and coercive control, so it is specifically relevant, not generic wellness content,
  • Access is via browser only; no app download required.

Who this is for, and who it might not be for

This might resonate if you:

  • Are trying to understand what happened to you and why. The psychology of abuse, the science of trauma, the patterns that made the relationship work the way it did.
  • Want structured content you can move through at your own pace, without having to speak to anyone if you’re not ready.
  • Are looking for something that was built for survivors of relationship abuse, not adapted from general mental health resources.

It might not be the right fit if:

  • You’re looking for live therapeutic support or clinical treatment.  Bloom is educational and self-led, not a replacement for therapy.
  • Your preferred language isn’t currently one of the six offered. Though Chayn is actively expanding
