The Train Your Brain Card Deck: 100 Techniques to Heal Trauma and Build Resiliency by Dr. Jennifer Sweeton offers a toolkit card deck aimed at supporting trauma survivors in rewiring their nervous systems. Each card presents a practice or intervention concept that is based on neuroscience and therapeutic insight, to help individuals regulate their emotional states, reduce hypervigilance, and regain a stronger sense of safety. 

The deck is designed to target five key brain functions: reducing anxiety and reactivity, creating greater body awareness, strengthening memory and concentration, regulating intense emotions, and increasing self-esteem.

You use the cards as a prompt to engage in an exercise which could be a grounding technique, movement, breathwork or self-compassion ritual. I went through a stage when I bought a lot of card packs like these, as it kept me off my phone when I wanted to disengage with technology. This pack were a great starting point for me when I was experimenting with different rituals for my nighttime routine and general self-care. They helped me work out what worked for me and what to pursue further.
